Are you worried about your behaviour?
Do you ever feel out of control at home?
Feeling frustrated or angry with a partner or family member can be normal. However, there is a difference between healthy disagreements and using behaviours to control your partner/ex-partner, children or family members’ lives.
Safe at Home is an early intervention approach to disrupting family violence in the Geelong and Barwon region that connects the entire household with support services.
Consider your relationship with your partner/ex-partner/family members and ask yourself:
Have I ever yelled at my partner/ex-partner/children/family members and has this been getting worse?
Have I ever prevented my partner from accessing money?
Have I ever scared my partner, children or family member?
Have I ever slammed the door in our home during an argument?
Have I ever gone through the person’s phone or social media accounts?
Have I ever felt jealous of my partner talking to other men or not spending time with me?
Do I often feel angry at my family?
Have I ever threatened to throw my partner out of the house?
If you’ve answered yes to any of these questions Safe at Home may be able to help you and your partner.
